It is ironic that I was given
the opportunity to work on
Ernest Muehlmatt's carving.
The very first book on bird
carving I ever bought was
called Songbird Carving
with Ernest Muehlmatt. It
was and still is one of the
most informative and
educational books I have
ever read. If it wasn't for
Ernie, I probably wouldn't
be where I am today.
Thanks Mr. Muehlmatt, and
thank you Sue for the
chance to work on a
carving that was started by
one of the greatest bird
carvers that ever lived.
