Give me some time to get the rough cut/carving process up. Right now I am going to skip right to the burning and setting of the eyes.

Here the bird has been mostly carved, the wing and tail feather have been drawn on, the next step is to burn them in and layer them.

With the feathers burned and layered, the eye holes made and the beak completed it is now time to begin burning in the detail.
